Consulting Organization

Optimus BT has an active consulting organization that helps customers decide on high level strategic and project level decisions with insightful solutions to their business problems. Our consulting organization consists of talented individuals who have expertise in the areas of Strategy, Microsoft technologies and Specific areas like Document Management, Business Intelligence, Portals, and Enterprise Integration. Some of the positions we have within our consulting organization include -

Principals – Own specific areas of the business and are experts in those areas and generally lead customer engagements.

Consultants – Work with the Principal and the Client to develop the strategy and the solution framework in detail – are day-to-day responsible for customer deliverables.

Delivery Organization
Optimus BT has a talented team of project and product delivery professionals with varied background and experience who help in delivering our SharePoint solutions and products to our customers. Some of the positions we have within our delivery organization include -
Project Managers – In large multi-phase projects, work with the customer in defining scope, team, project plans and delivery schedules for the project/product. The Project managers are the implementation leads for a project and are responsible for the successful completion of the project.

Business Analysts – In complex projects with varied business requirements, work with the customer or internal teams [with Optimus BT products] in defining the requirements, developing process flows, screen flows, among other items. Business Analysts also help in defining test cases and provide assistance in testing of the applications. They frequently interact with the customer and consulting organization.

Product Leads - are responsible for the overall guidance and development of the specific Optimus BT products including drawing product roadmaps, product feature sets, competitive analysis, understanding of various technologies and integrations, and the ability to come up with the high level architecture for the product and/or product releases. Additionally, they are responsible for prototyping and testing technology solutions before suggesting approaches to the product development team. These individuals are highly analytical and are multi-faceted in their technology capabilities and are able to manage a multi-version product release.

Team Leads – In projects with more than 3-4 developers, there are team leads who are usually the technical leads of the projects and provide daily guidance to all developers and are experts in the technology solution being developed. They are able to troubleshoot and resolve issues and are able to investigate and provide R&D for the project in terms of new technologies and methodologies that are being used on a project.

Sr. Developers – are experienced developers with advanced skills in the technologies being used on a specific project and are able to take on complex modules of a project like integration with other systems etc. – are definitely experienced in Web Services, XML and .Net technologies in addition to good understanding of SharePoint.

Developers - have intermediate understanding of the technologies being used on the project and are able deliver specific modules on the project that are related to web part development, and database development.

Technology Specialization
As part of the delivery organization, there are specialized skill level staff who can help provide high level of technology competency to a project based on their expertise in a particular platform that Optimus BT has expertise on. The following are some of our technology specialist positions

SharePoint Specialists- are experts on the SharePoint platform including a detailed understanding of the SharePoint API, the database model and some of the ins and outs of developing SharePoint based solutions. Are usually involved in multiple projects wherever their expertise is needed. Their primary goal is to develop the organizations capabilities in SharePoint, train others and create Proof of Concept solutions for customers.

SQL Server BI Specialists- are experts on the SQL Server platform including a detailed understanding of the Analysis Services, and Reporting capabilities of SQL Server and some of the ins and outs of developing SQL Server based solutions. Are usually involved in multiple projects wherever their expertise is needed. Their primary goal is to develop the organizations capabilities in SQL Server, train others and create Proof of Concept solutions for customers.

Lotus Notes Migrations Specialists- are experts on migrating Lotus Notes to the Microsoft platform including Lotus Notes Email, Directory, and applications. They have a detailed understanding of the Lotus Notes and Microsoft platforms and have knowledge of various methodologies and tools needed to do a successful migration from Lotus Notes to the SharePoint/Exchange Platform. Are usually involved in multiple projects wherever their expertise is needed. Their primary goal is to develop the organizations capabilities in Migrations, train others and create Proof of Concept solutions for customers.

As part of the delivery organization, Optimus BT retains a team of Quality management staff that validates and verifies Optimus BT products and solutions before release to the customer. The following are some of the roles within the quality management organization.

Testers – develop test cases, and scenarios for testing a product or customer solution before delivery to ensure that is has been properly built and works per the requirements specified. Are usually involved in multiple projects during the requirements and then the testing/stabilization of projects.

Software Trainees– are new graduates who join our company and are introduced to the software development lifecycle through training and participation in testing of delivery projects.
